Great news for the matcha lovers! This dessert shop that’s all about matcha in the Albert Cuyp in the Pijp has opened. Matcha Bar Amsterdam is a Japanese inspired dessert store with a strong focus on matcha powder: a super healthy tea powder. Matcha powder is both really healthy and tasty, and that’s of course an ideal combination ;-). The goal of Matcha Bar Amsterdam is to serve tasty but healthy desserts and coffee with matcha. They like to call it the perfect alternative for traditional parties and coffees, for anyone who wants to try something different and new. If we trust on the super healthy matcha powder, that’s full of vibers, minerals and vitamins it truly does sound like a perfect combination. We definitely want to try this so we can’t wait to stop by and give it a go!

classic desserts and coffees with a japanese twist

The main focus of the Matcha Bar lies both on classic desserts with a Japanese twist, as well as hot and cold drinks: matcha latte, bubble tea, green tea and smoothies. All products at the Matcha Bar are freshly made by a team of Japanese pastry chefs, so Amsterdammers can taste matcha desserts such as roll cakes, tiramisu, cream puffs, cookies, madeleines and other matcha snacks. Sounds good!

For coffee, Matcha Bar Amsterdam offers a healthier alternative: the drinks have a more condensed amount of caffeine that is gradually absorbed by our bodies. So the coffee addicts don’t have to worry as much while they enjoy their third cup of the day ;-). And you still get your daily dosis of caffeine.
