Now this is what we call a rooftop with A VIEW at Le Bain at the Standard Hotel
There are a lot of stylish places to choose from here in New York. Oh Meatpacking why are you so beautiful but so overpriced at the same time…
My advice is to get some good food at Chelsea Market, go people watching at the Highline and whenever you’re ready join the hip and pretty peeps at the outdoor rooftop at Le Bain at the Standard Hotel.
We’ve been to Le Bain before, the place where nights can get a little crazy. One floor down is where the notorious pool is (something with booze, models and panties).
Of all the outdoor rooftops out there this is the coolest one. It opens up at 4 and when I arrive upstairs there’s already a line. Sure. Of course. After all this is New York.
When walking up to the big ass top floor outdoor rooftop terrace you’ll see the crazy artsy walls made by famous female street artist Aiko. Her art can be spotted all over NYC (and outside the USA).
Oh boy what a view. Ladies and gentlemen on the left hand side you might have already noticed the modest view of Manhattan. And on the right hand side the Hudson River makes a lovely scenery…
Drinks are not cheap here, (like anywhere in New York) but with surroundings like these it’s all fine by me. Pretty waitresses slash models with size zero and extremely white shorts (and so getting away with it) are here to serve you your $900 bottle of Dom. “No thanks dahling. Just a cocktail will do”.
