AN ODE TO WEALTH AND LUXURY OF THE 17TH CENTURY
The old, small buildings and the narrow streets, I love the Nine Streets… And thanks to Jansz Amsterdam my love just grew a little bit bigger. This hotspot is inspired by the 17th-century craftsman Volckert Jansz. He was known for his exquisite taste, for both food and style and luxury. But above all he thought you should share everything. Jansz Amsterdam in the Nine Streets is an ode to Volckert and brings fancy breakfast, lunch and dinner to the Reestraat.
Are you fond of an extended breakfast on your lazy Sunday? Then Jansz is your new favourite spot. Here you can choose from eggs benedict or an omelet with mushrooms and spinach, but also from toast, rice pudding or homemade granola, yum! Lunch is even more extensive and perfect for quality time with your love. Are you gonna go for the tuna tartare, crab on toast or steak tartare?
The dinner as well is inspired by wealth and luxury of the 17th century. How about miso painted cod, duck or the bavette steak? The sole à la meunière is highly recommended! Are you more the burger type of person? They also serve those, finished with real Dutch Reypenaer cheese :-)
Luckily not only the menu is classic with a modern twist, but the interior as well! Think a lot of white marble, love marble!, copper lamps and snow-white crockery. Not only the cuisine, but also everything around you is super classy. Have fun!
