One of our favourite streets in Amsterdam is the Jan Pieter Heijestraat, aka the J.P., in Amsterdam West! Over the last years, so many great new hotspots located here, from burger spots to vintage stores. In this blog you’ll find therefore the best spots to eat, drink coffee, have drinks and to shop in the Jan Pieter Heijestraat Amsterdam. Have fun!

6 x food & drinks at the J.P. Heijestraat Amsterdam

Dr Blend: Dr Blend is your healthy go to spot in the Jan Pieter for healthy smoothies, juices, sandwiches and veggie bowls.
Soul Burger: At Soul Burger you dine in an industrial setting and you really enter burger heaven, because here you can choose from chicken, lamb or beef burgers, but they also have burgers made of beets or other veggies and sweet potatoes fries, yum!
Voldaan: Soup and balls! At this nice hotspot they serve different kinds of soup every season and there are different (meat) balls and salads on the menu. Everything is homemade and organic where possible.

Golden Brown: This seems like a brown cafe where you go for beers and bites. But don’t be fooled. Here they serve the best thai food! From padthai to fried rice and curries!
Cafe Frieda: Plenty to do at Cafe Frieda! Here they organize pub, music and movie quizzes. But they also have stand-up comedy nights! Perfect for a quick bite and an nice evening program.
Deegrollers: Craving for pizza? Luckily there is a pizza place located at the Jan Pieter Heijstraat! In the always crowded Deegrollers you can eat tasty pizzas but it’s also a favourite take-out of us!

Maass Meal Station: No time for or don’t feel like ;-) preparing a healthy meal for hours in the kitchen, but also no need for unhealthy fast food? At Maass Meal Station you can pick up fresh, healthy ready-to-go meals.
Saffraan: This deli has the best Mediterranean cuisine in the neighborhood! Don’t feel like cooking? Then check their daily menu or go for one of the other delicious dishes on the menu.
Holy Ravioli: Do you love pasta? Then this is a must visit at the Jan Pieter Heijestraat! On the menu you’ll find classic ravioli or ravioli filled with seasonal ingredients and pasta of the day to go!

2 x coffee at the J.P. Heijestraat Amsterdam

Trakteren: Not only can you drink really good coffee here, but they also serve homemade pies, muffins, croissants and cinnamon rolls at the Jan Pieter Heijestraat! And in summer time they have a small sitting area outside.
CoffeeRoastery: They roast their own beans here! So order a monthly changing specialty coffee here.
