The Overtoom in Amsterdam-West has a new place to go to for drinks and booze, yay! Where you’d previously find Cafe Overtoom has now Goud West Amsterdam opened its doors. And that’s news I love, because it means that there’s a new place in town to meet with friends…. and of course the Overtoom can always use a cozy hotspot ;-)
It’s not completely unknown territory for Goud West. The elder brother, Parck Ping Pong Bar, is located just across the street. So a happy family on the Overtoom! The Ping Pong concept is so successful that owner Edwin decided to expand with a second bar: Goud West it is.
Just like Parck Ping Pong Bar, Goud West will be low key and welcomes everyone from young to old. It’s all about the good Amsterdam vibes over here, including the menu. For lunch and dinner they bring the best of Amsterdam to the table: sandwich ossenworst, the famous Loes meatball, sandwich Reypenaer cheese and for dinner for example tournedos and chicken satay. And last but not least, Goud West is open every day until 03.00 am and on Fridays and Saturdays even until 4:00 pm. This makes it the only place on the Overtoom that’s open till this late. So if you’re looking for a place to drink and end your evening, this is the place!
