Hotel in the business district: Foss Hotel Reykjavik
Are you going to Reykjavik? Then don’t wait too long with booking a hotel! The island is small and during peak season many hotels are fully booked. Or they’re super expensive ;-). The Foss Hotel in Reykjavik has just opened. It’s a huge (the largest in the city), modern hotel and not even 15 minutes away on foot from the main street. This hotel has free wifi (and it’s also working very well!) and has an awesome view over Reykjavik. We stayed here on the 15th floor with an amazing view over the entire city with the sea and the mountains on the background.
If you’re staying at the Foss Hotel then you definitely need to have the breakfast! The breakfast buffet is super extensive and gives you more than enough fuel for a day of checking out hotspots in the city center of Reykjavik, a tour for the island or whale watching. And although Ellis and I are not that big a fan of breakfast, we couldn’t resist the croissants, egg, bacon and fruits!
Must-do: The Foss Hotel has a beer garden! Great to relax here with a local beer and some nice bites.
