DE KOFFIESCHENKERIJ AMSTERDAM IS the perfect GETAWAY at the WALLEN

De Koffieschenkerij Amsterdam is the place at the Wallen where you can order a good coffee. That’s not all, it’s the perfecte spot to escape the chaos at this touristy place. Believe it or not, you’ve probably already crossed this place a million times. You can find De Koffieschenkerij in the Old Church at the Oudezijds Voorburgwal. Yep, the most beautiful and oldest church in Amsterdam.

Job and Anne, the owners of this authentic coffee place, noticed that a part of the old church was empty for a long time. Not long after that the terrace was filled with people who enjoyed a fresh coffee. In the summer you can take place on the terrace and enjoy the morning sun, in the winter you can warm up inside in the ‘living room’.

Find the tastiest apple pie at DE KOFFIESCHENKERIJ AMSTERDAM

The coffee that’s served is from Bocca and sandwiches from BROOD. The fresh soups are made by Not For Sale (a foundation which fights exploitation of people) and the sandwich toppings are also made in Amsterdam. The cakes, which by the way look delicious, are homemade. There is even speculation that they have the best apple pie in Amsterdam. We want to have a taste!

The Wallen may not be the very first place you voluntarily want to spend an afternoon. But with new spots as De Koffieschenkerij, Ms.Crumbs and Dum Dum Palace it’s becoming a to go to neighborhood.

De Koffieschenkerij Amsterdam is open every day from 10 am till 6pm. Enjoy your coffee!
