Oslo Travel Tips

Oslo is the place to be if you love both the city and the nature. There are two large forests on the edge of the city (Nordmarka and Østmarka). It’s perfect there to ski (during the winter), hike and swim! And of course you’d so need to take a ferry to do some island hopping in the Oslo Fjord. On the west side of Oslo there’s also the Frogner Park where you can recreate as much as you want.

As one of the Scandinavian capital cities, it’s almost inevitable for Oslo to be a real hipster city. In the Grünerløkka district there’s really so many hip hotspots! For foodies it is highly recommended to check out Mathallen: an indoor food market where you can grab a bite on the spot, but also for to go. And coffee addicts can get their proper kick here as well. Go to Tim Wendelboe for amazing self-roasted coffee. Check the Oslo City Guide for more hotspots!

FAMILY TRAVEL TIPS: Planning a trip with baby or kids? Then also check Travelkids.co, the sister website of Your Little Black Book for parents with wanderlust! Check it out on Instagram via @travelkids.co.
