Cafe Modern Amsterdam
Ik ben gek op oude gebouwen die een nieuwe bestemming krijgen. Zo is restaurant Hotel de Goudfazant in Amsterdam al jaren één van mijn all time favourites. (Lees hier mijn blog over Hotel de Goudfazant Amsterdam). Goed nieuws dus het team achter de Goudfazant een tweede restaurant in Amsterdam Noord heeft geopend! Cafe Modern Amsterdam is gevestigd in een gebouw waar vroeger de Drentse(?!) bank gevestigd was. In het huiselijke vintage design interieur voel je je direct thuis. Authentieke elementen herinneren aan het vorige leven van het pand. Zo is de kluis in de kelder omgebouwd tot toilet. Je eet er een heerlijk dagelijks wisselend 4-gangen menu. Ik vind het altijd weer een heerlijke verrassing als een restaurant werkt met een Table d’Hote concept. Iedere dag de verste ingrediënten uit het seizoen :-). Bij Cafe Modern Amsterdam Noord is het gezellig lang tafelen, want iedereen neemt het menu. Zit er iets bij dat je minder graag eet? Dan past de chef jouw bordje zonder problemen aan. Cafe Modern Amsterdam is een aanwinst in het rijtje restaurants in Amsterdam Noord!
