Bistro Berlage Amsterdam: new bistro in the Beurs van Berlage

8 April 2018

we can now have drinks and dinner at Bistro Berlage Amsterdam

The Grand Café of the Beurs of Berlage makes place for a whole new concept that will also be open in the evening. At the end of this year the new restaurant Bistro Berlage Amsterdam will open at one of the most exciting places in the city. Now that they’re busy rebuilding the Beursplein, the Beurs of Berlage saw the opportunity to introduce a new concept, a concept that allows us to have lunch during the day and (finally) have dinner in the evenings.

The monumental building has its own history and they’re proud of it. Because of this Bistro Berlage Amsterdam will have a contemporary style with at the same time a classic twist which will come back in the interior and the menu. What’s on the menu is still a surprise, but we already got a little sneak peek. For example, there will be harder fillet with a mousseline of parsley root, spinach and a sauce of Zeeuwse mussels on the menu. Sounds delicious!

The team, led by chef Herb van Drongelen (who previously worked at the Ysbreeker and the Hyatt Regency in Birmingham) and manager Diederik Luijt (who previously worked at Koninklijk Theater Carré and the DeLaMar Theater), is currently busy with developing the menu and the final touches at the Bistro. We can’t wait!

The interior gets a warm, cosy touch. There will be a large island bar where we can have drinks until the late hours, high and low seats for a playful effect and in the spring there will be a whole new terrace where we can enjoy the sun.

We are excited! We’ll keep you posted about the opening date ;-)
