Best of August: these were the 5 X most read articles of the month

31 August 2017

PSST… these were the most popular articles of august

Time flies when you’re having fun! August was a month with a lot of fun in the sun and fun in the rain. ‘Cause even though the weather was bad sometimes, we did go to some amazing festivals, restaurants and events with friends. In September we will start a new season, so let’s look back at the last month of summer.

The past month we’ve shared a lot with you and if you missed it, at the end of the month you can read the ‘best of August’ in the most read articles here. Look at it as a list as, for example, new restaurants for inspiration for your next dinner date with your friend or lover, but also trend and travel articles and inspiration for new events.

Ps: don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel YOURLBB.TV. We don’t only write about new hotspots in Amsterdam, we film them too!

5 X THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS ALL READ LAST MONTH

Hotspots Bali: Bali will never bore me. And I can honestly say that I still enjoy my yearly visits to the all-time favourites like Crate Café, Potatohead (which is, by the way, also in Hong Kong now!) and SisterFields. But just like it is in Amsterdam, there are always so many new hotspots popping up in Bali.

Vattenramen: want to get some ramen with friends tonight? Then we have some good news, you can now order a very nice bowl of ramen in the center of Amsterdam at the new Vattenramen Amsterdam. A ramen restaurant of the famous Michelin chef Hideto Kawahara from, of course, Japan!

CIRCL Amsterdam: CIRCL Amsterdam is a new circular platform on the Zuidas where society comes together for a sustainable world. CIRCL Amsterdam is a meeting place for startups and educational institutions, neighborhood residents and established companies, governments and citizens. Actually for everyone! Besides being a meeting place, CIRCL Amsterdam also has a restaurant and a very nice rooftop bar with garden where you can relax!

Mr. & Mrs. Watson: yes, there’s another vegan restaurant based in the heart of Amsterdam. Mr. & Mrs. Watson Amsterdam wants to contribute to the vegan lifestyle that’s a big hit in our country and even the rest of world. Mr. & Mrs. Watson Amsterdam opened in Amsterdam East. They serve vegan comfort food with a culinary twist.

Hotel Arena: that Hotel Arena has one of the best terraces with a view of the Oosterpark is a fact that we’ve tried out multiple times ourselves the past couple of months. But did you know that the hotel is now also officially opened after an extensive renovation? I’ve had the honour to spend the night there as one of the first guests for a mini staycation in my own city recently.
