Oh Amsterdam, I just love you in the Summer! Whenever I ride my bike along the Amstel and see people in the water it makes me want to go straight home and put on my bathing suit. Have you ever done that? Swimming in Amsterdam? I’m going to enjoy all the tips this weekend of our summer lists. What are you going to do? 32 tips for thinsg to do this weekend in Amsterdam

  1. Have a shot at winning a card for ten treatments at Sense! This spa is turning ten years old and the birthday one has to give out presents of course ;-). Like spray tans, pedicures, manicures, massages and more… and: you can still participate! Read all about it here >>
  2. Breezers a thing of the past? Most certainly not! At least that’s what they think at Venster 33, where they’re hosting a Breezerparty this Saturday. No worries, it’s not the Bacardi Breezer but home made! A little more classy, and much more tasty ;-). Check the Facebook event here.
  3. Are Breezers not your thing, but you do like sangria? If so, the Grote Sangriafeest at De Vergulden Eenhoorn might be more your cup of tea. On Friday there’s enough sangria here for everyone, there will be a BBQ and you can also play jeu de boules. Nice! Check the Facebook event here.
  4. This Saturday there’s yet another nice festival to attend, Georgies Wundergarten. Unfortunately not at Ruigoord anymore but at Riekerhaven, but that’s a little closer in the city ;-). Be quick if you still want to buy tickets, or check Ticketswap! Click here for the Facebook event.
  5. Silent disco, a sunset and the great vibe of the Amsterdam North. This Saturday at Noorderlicht there’s a Silent Disco party and chances are that you favorite music will be played, as there are three channels to choose from. Check the Facebook event with tickets and info here.
  6. Unfortunately we can’t cheer for our own country this year, but there are lots of teams that we can root for! And the finale is in less than two weeks already. Check the 9 x Spots where you can watch the WK 2018 in Amsterdam here >>
  7. This weekend we can go out for a movie night on the rooftop again at Floor17. Take place on one of the bean bags enjoy the view and the movie of course. Check the Facebook event here with more info and the schedule of the movies.
  8. Want to do something different on Sunday? Then go to artist Ruben Hein in the Vondelpark Openluchttheater. He has a new album coming out where it’s mainly about two things: his voice and the piano. A nice closure of the weekend! Check the Facebook event here with more info.
  9. Are you also a lover of Spanish tapas, then the Tapas Food Festival at DOK Amsterdam this Saturday might be your go to this weekend. There will also be DJs and live bands and of course enough tapas for everyone. Good to know: entrance is free! Check the Facebook event here.
  10. Fans of Moroccan food, pay attention! As there is a pop-up restaurant in Amsterdam North this weekend at the Wilhelmina-doc. On Friday night a dinner and a lunch on Sunday. Reservations are a must! That’s possible via mina@abouhzara.nl.
  11. Craving a movie night? These 6 Movies are the ones you want to see in theatres this month >>
  12. Nice: a Gigantic Open Air Flea Market in the Olympisch Stadion. That’s there this Sunday and that means you can search for that one (or several ;-) ) great finds! Check the Facebook event here.
  13. Strolling around the market at the Ten Katemarkt? Then visit Van De Markt for a coffee or something sweet (a raw vegan avocado lime pie for example ;-) )!
  14. Craft beers and tasty food at El Jefe’s Wild West Brew Fest at the Westerdoksdijk this Saturday and Sunday. Here you’ll find breweries like Troost, Gebrouwen door Vrouwen, Oedipus and many more. Check the Facebook event with all the info here.
  15. Is the Amsterdamse Terrassen Festival already noted in your schedule? This might be the best new comer of last year >>
