ALEX+PINARD’S WINE TAKES OVER AMSTERDAM EAST

Oh yes, Amsterdam East is on fire! After Fondue Oost and Brouwerij Troost, soon Bijvangst, Hummus Bistro d&a and now also Alex+Pinard Amsterdam open their doors in one of the most fun neighbourhoods of Amsterdam. East seems totally hot and happening! Alex+Pinard is the newest asset in the neighbourhood and at this new food- and wine bar you’ll find good and tasty wine, great food, but especially have a good time. You can’t make a person happier…

Owners Alex (Sanne) and Nathaniel are happy that they created a place with food and drinks that they like, but above all has a nice atmosphere. When it comes to wine, it quickly becomes stiff and pretentious, and they don’t care for that too much. Because at the end you drink wine for your pleasure, right? ;-)

Alex+Pinard Amsterdam makes good wine accessible. What that means? Affordable wine of good quality, which is also delicious and there are not too many substances in it. Supermarket wine for example, is sometimes drinkable, but then you feel bad the next day. Which shows that there are substances in the wine that keep it stable. The wines at Alex+Pinard are as pure as possible. But what they find more important is the taste: you’ll have to feel good about it.

shared-dining and light interior at alex+pinard amsterdam

In terms of food you can expect the tastiest patés, hams, oysters and cheeses in the city. There are also a number of dishes that you can share. They also have classic dishes such as Coq au Riesling, North Sea crab or steak tartare, but they still taste better than you expect with a matching wine. We can’t wait to combine the North Sea crab with crispy toast with fennel and radishes, with one of the delicious wines!

In terms of interior, Alex+Pinard looks spacious and light with high ceilings and many windows. There is also a large terrace at the Dappermarkt. Perfect for drinking wine with friends on a sunny day ;-). Before Alex+Pinard, the well-known café of Douwe Bob was located here. He had painted everything black and hung dark curtains. Because of Alex+Pinard the restaurant became open and light again. We like!

At Alex+Pinard they find it important to create a nice spot where the neighbourhood likes to come for a drink and to chat with friends. A place that serves as a meeting place. The perfect place to have a glass of wine with friends that you haven’t spoken for a while ;-)
