5 x coffee in Istanbul: the best hipster coffee places

3 June 2015

Filter coffee and espresso: go to these coffee shops in Istanbul!

Although I always like to try local food and drinks when I travel, I also always have trouble with the Turkish coffee. This is so strong! So, no blog about coffee houses where you can drink the best Turkish coffee (sorry!). But what you will get is a blog about the best Western hotspots with delicious cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites to order. Fortunately, there are plenty nice hipster coffee shops in Istanbul; herewith my favoruites!

Coffeetopia | Coffee in Istanbul

They just opened a few months ago, but trust me: this is gonna be your favourite specialty coffeebar in the neigbhourhood Sirkeci! Coffeetopia is set up by Şerif Başaran, who competed in 2003 at the world championships Barista. So you can imagine the coffee here is great! Not in the mood for coffee? Try their Chai Latte.

Coffee Sapiens | Coffee in Istanbul

The coolest district, also known as the hipster district, of Istanbul at the moment is Karaköy. It’s also a coffee heaven. So many nice coffeebars here! Coffee Sapiens is one of them. Here they’re specialized in grinding beans from all over the world! Like beans from Jamaica or Yemen. And, they even have their own exclusive mix that you must try!
