Playlists: I love to listen to a good playlist in a plane to get energy or even to get more sleepy. Download different lists through Spotify so you can listen to them offline. Think of J. Cole for a relaxing beat and Dua Lipa’s new album for more uptempo. Tip: Spotify even has a special playlist for long flights.
Netflix: if the movie selection in the plane isn’t that interesting, download some movies yourself. Use Google Play, iTunes, or Netflix and download your movie or series so you can watch them in during the flight. Time for a Girls Marathon!
Books: read a good thriller or a romantic story to forget about time. Recommendations from the Yourlbb office: Moonglow by Michael Chabon, a fact-based story about his grandparents and Sad Girls from Lang Leav.
E-readers: want a good story but don’t want to carry ten books? Use an e-reader! It has many advantages including the size and the wide range of books from which you can choose.
Magazines: while enjoying a hot cup-a-soup or a bag of M&M’s you read a whole magazine. From high-end magazines such as the Vogue and Bazaar to football magazines for men. After reading the magazine you can leave it in the hotel or airplane so you don’t have to carry it!
Audio books: don’t you want to read at all? Download for example the Storytel app and let someone read you a book. Note: it is very addictive. I bet that your flight is over without you noticing it. Headphones up, close your eyes and listen to the story.
Online apps: play some games in the plane. Go for a brainspinsel or let your creative brain go its way by drawing or painting. A nice app is Silk, where you can create the most beautiful works of art with different tools and colors.
Games: not in the mood to use your phone or tablet, play some ‘real’ games. From a travel size ‘Mens Erger Je Niet’ till a small Rummikub.
