HMMMMMMM… iced coffee in the summer
As you all know I love iced coffee. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a sunny summer day or if it is winter time. I prefer to drink my coffee cold. ICE COLD! Sometimes I make it myself at home, but most of the time I just buy my iced coffee on the go. Emmi CAFFÉ LATTE is a brand I discovered while travelling for Your Little Black Book and the good news is that it’s now also available in the Netherlands in the flavours: cappuccino, espresso and macchiato.
During a week in Amsterdam I tried all the flavours. In the morning at Yourlbb HQ and on the go from hotspot to hotspot! Good to know: they paid a fair trade price for the coffee beans that are used to make Emmi CAFFÉ LATTE. So it’s green iced coffee. We love that!
GOOD MORNING! Time for espresso
Since a few weeks I’ve been renting an office at De Pijp for Your Little Black Book. Once I arrive at the office in the morning, the first thing I usually do is make some coffee. I don’t have to do that this week, because the fridge is filled with Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE :-). Since it’s still early and I need to wake up a little, I quickly grab an ice cold espresso. I’ve never tried an iced espresso before, but I can already tell you it’s so good that I will try another one right away. Quickly checking some more emails and then off I go for a few meetings and to check out the new hotspots: Kaagman & Kortekaas, De Japanner and The Fragrance Store.
Amsterdam you’re so pretty!
I can enjoy biking around in Amsterdam so much. The city is always beautiful like a postcard whether you’ve been living here for years or not. If the weather is nice and I’m in between meetings then I always like to sit down on a bench to relax a little. Definitely if the weather is warm! And with Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE coffee in my bag it’s nice to have a little break like that.
A few emails to check or a quick call before I jump on my bike again. I love the days full with meetings. An on the go day full with inspiring meetings with fun people in Amsterdam. During these breaks I try a different flavour every time and switch between the macchiato, espresso and cappuccino. I’ll tell you later which flavour my favourite is!
Office near the water
My new office is located at De Pijp around the corner of the Amstel river. When the weather is good, you’ll find me at the bench besides the Amstel at the end of the day. I can stare at the boats that pass by for hours. With a bit of luck there are friends sailing and I can even join them for an evening on the water. At the end of the day I’ll have another cappuccino. It’s not that strong so perfect for the late afternoon!
At the end of the week the espresso is my favourite! If you like iced coffee as much as I do then you definitely need to try this one.
