9 x coffeebars in athens for a good frappé or cup of coffee

Anafiotika: A romantic coffeebar in Athens with a rooftop that has a view of the Akropolis in the Plaka district. Order a frappé, have a seat and enjoy the amazing view. PS. they also have a good lunch here.

Cherchez la Femme: When in Greece, you go to a French bistro. Okay, not really. Because they do serve Greek dishes at Cherchez la Femme, even though it looks really French inside. Pick a table outside and enjoy your frappé in the early morning, or have a seat inside in the green walhalla. I would certainly like that wallpaper back home!

Otto: A restaurant where it’s impossible to walk past without having a peek inside. Because Otto is completely pink-coloured, it has pink velvet (!) couches and giant chandeliers on the inside. A cute place to watch the street wake up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee.

Little Tree Books & Coffee: One of the coffeebars in Athens that has been recommended to us immediately is Little Tree Books & Coffee in the Koukaki district. A cute place where you can enjoy a book, laptop of your lover in all ease while nipping your frappé or cappuccino.

Espressaki: For the great atmosphere alone you’d have to visit Espressaki. It’s a small cafe where, next to your frappé and carrot cake they also serve great homemade sangria. That’s going to be a tough choice!

Lotte: A small, cozy cafe in the Plaka district where it’s mostly locals that come here for their daily shot of caffeine. And for the cake, because those are delicious over here! We’ve especially fallen in love with the interior, as the entire cafe is filled with antique and vintage accessories. And that’s actually pretty typical for the hotspots in Athens!

Le Petit Village: Besides good coffee, Le Petit Village also serves the best home made lemonades of the city and some great lunch. Moreover, the teeny tiny restaurant also looks super romantic, you can easily spend the entire afternoon here.
