the best christmas markets in amsterdam 2017 for glühwein

YES! The moment is almost here; CHRISTMAS. Even though the start sign hasn’t given yet, we’re already listening to Christmas songs at the office of Your Little Black Book. We can’t wait for the month filled with culinary quality time with friends and family, special pop ups and Christmas markets. Because yes, Christmas markets are still one of our favourite things to go to. Every year we look forward to glasses of glühwein, the cozy lights and the hunt for original gifts. And very nice: Amsterdam is getting more and more special Christmas markets. Here are the best Christmas markets in Amsterdam 2017 for you to visit this winter!

7 x these are the christmas markets that you don’t want to miss!

Amsterdamse Winterparade: The RAI will change from December 21 until January 1 in a true Christmas walhalla. A gigantic Christmas market will be organized this year where you can get that ultimate Christmas feeling. Expect square kilometers full of Christmas balls, ‘oliebollen’, angel hair, Christmas men, a lot of Christmas lights and hot chocolate milk. You can even ice skate on a skating rink of no less than 700 square meters. Oh my

Museum Market Christmas Edition: the Museum square is always pretty, but just a little bit more pretty during the Christmas season. During the Museum Market Christmas December you can shop the best art & design gifts. On December 17!

Ice Village Amsterdam: besides the Museum Market Christmas Edition the Museum square makes also place for Ice Village Amsterdam from December 20 till 30. The ice rink is surrounded with stalls filled with nice Christmas decorations.

Funky Xmas Market: on Sunday December 10 you can go gift hunting at the Funky Xmas Market at the Westergasterrein. It’s the Sunday Market, but totally in Christmas spirit.

Pure Markt: over 90 craft entrepreneurs in the field of food and drinks and special non-food. The Pure Market xmas edition will be at the Amstel location on December 10 and at Frankendael on December 18.

Sissy Boy: woah, the Sissy Boy Christmas Market went crazy when we posted it on Facebook. Not that surprising, because its by far the most popular Christmas market in town. Perhaps that has something to do with the delicious drinks and cozy vibes over there… On December 9 at the Amstelveld.

Rooftop Xmas Market: in the weekend of December 16 and 17 you can visit the highest Christmas market in Amsterdam at Floor17. Enjoy a spectacular view and the Xmas Market with more than thirty stalls of local brands and shopkeepers with nice and original gifts for under the Christmas tree. Besides that, there is of course hot chocolate, mulled wine and wintery cocktails.

Have fun at these Christmas markets in Amsterdam 2017!
