Beauty New York Style!
You’re woman, 30 something, living in New York. So what do you do? Of course! You’re getting a microdermabrasion treatment. “Because you’re worth it”. Hell yeah!
There are a lot of ‘crappy’ salons in New York City, but it looks like I have found some skin experts in Chelsea, looking at the positive reviews on Yelp. I’m having my first microdermabrasion treatment ever at ‘Chelsea Face and Body’.
Making the appointment alone was already fun. I spoke to a super nice guy Paul, who is looking forward in seeing me the next day. Well Paul, that makes two of us!
Soft and shiny skin in no-time!
I’m a bit nervous right now and I wonder if after this I will look like a weeping tomato like Samantha from Sex and the City. It relaxes me that at least everything looks clean and fresh.
Bobby (ask for his age OMG) is giving me the microdermabrasion treatment and is telling me that it’s absolutely safe. Such a relaxed and nice guy. I’m so relieved when he tells me it’s painless and my face will not be red after this. We chat about Bobby’s beach house and about Hawaii (Bobby and husband travel everywhere you know). When the diamond tip rolls over my face and it actually doesn’t hurt at all. It feels like a firm scrub. The vacuum sucks up all the dead skin and used crystals. Ah yes, I can already feel my shiny healthy new skin coming through! I can’t wait to look in the mirror. Bobby takes off the cooling mask and I see my smoother and glowing skin. I’m so happy with the result.
Now the next day my skin still looks flawless and healthy.
I think I need this again next month at Chelsea Face and Body. And the month after that. And after that.
Me and my girls have been talking about those chemical peelings a lot. Hmmm… Wouldn’t it be interesting to try one of those before we leave NYC..?
