Carter Bar & Kitchen Amsterdam: all day hotspot

20 September 2014

New hotspot in Amsterdam Old South! Carter Bar & Kitchen

Amsterdam Old South is hot and happening (again!).  Carter Bar & Kitchen is a great new bar and restaurant at the Valeriusstraat. It has a very nice outdoor terrace! The interior of Carter Bar & Kitchen is warm and classy. It gives me the feeling of being in London or New York!

What I really like about this hotspot is that it’s a nice place to go for just a cocktail or good glass of wine, but also for an all night dinner with friends. Carter Bar & Kitchen changes the cocktail menu with the seasons and these guys sure know what they’re doing. Very good cocktails! Perfect as a pre dinner drink at the bar.

The menu at Carter Bar & Kitchen Amsterdam is bistro style. Classic dishes with a twist! To me bistro style dishes are always good. Feed me a juicy burger or steak tartare and I’m a happy girl :-). Must try is the Bloody Mary soup! Heaven on a plate :-). And if you love Burrata just as much as I do share this starter with your dinner date. It’s delicious and looks beautiful on the huge white plate.

On my last visit I had the classic Moules Frites at Carter Bar & Kitchen. Something you should definitely try! The passionfruit mayonnaise that comes with the mussels is so good. Just delicious.
