The next 10 days, Amsterdam is all about the documentary festival IDFA! The timing couldn’t be better with this rainy weather. So let’s watch a movie at a nice movie theatre and check out 8 movies you want to see at IDFA. Also cool this weekend: ARTWEST at De Baarsjes. – Do you prefer beer? Hoppa just opened and they have 30 local beers from the tap and the bottle!
– Are you more into a healthy weekend? Go to Yay Health Store & More at De Pijp! A raw food cafe and a health store.
– There is a new bar at the Spui: Bar Jackson Dubois! With over 50 beers, 22 kinds of champagnes and small dishes on the menu.
– Looking for a cool place to eat in Bos and Lommer? Go to Wilde Westen! At the end of the afternoon, Wilde Westen transforms into a cool bar where you can have drinks. And they serve delicious pizza’s!

– The Hallenkwartier and De Baarsjes are all about art this weekend during ARTWEST. Creative hotspots and artists are open for public this Saturday and Sunday.
– The International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) has started! Until November 29 you can see interesting, funny, moving and educational documentary’s at several movie theatres in town. We selected the 8 movies that you can’t miss!
– This Thursday night Radion organises RADIATOR. This promises to be a night full of beautiful words from poet’s , thinkers, rappers, spoken words from artists and storytellers.
– This Saturday and Sunday you can go shopping at the Local Goods Market. They have a special Local Art Market: ARTWEST edition. Artists and designers from the neighbourhood are here to show and sell their work and products.
– Looking for more art? Visit Beelddragers X10 – expo & print sale at Volkshotel this Friday. The artworks during this exhibition are (only) 50 euro per piece!
– Also cool: Nold’s Rommelmarkt in East this Sunday. This is a mix of everything! From design to vintage… And with music and good coffee.

– The new expo Then & Now is opened at Gallery Villa del Arte. Frank E. Hollywood is presenting his newest expo’s ‘Neo gilded age’ and ‘Neo nostalgia’. You can visit the exhibition until Sunday November 29.
– Foam has a new exhibition: We May Have Met Before. Seven Chinese artists give insight in China with focus on the cultural climate, artistic developments and photography.
– The Amsterdam Museum has a new cool exhibition: Graffiti: New York Meets the Dam. The exhibition shows graffiti from New York and Amsterdam from the 70 & 80’s.
– Visit the exhibition: Magnum Contact Sheets at Foam because it’s almost finished! With the use of original contact sheets and vintage prints you can see how iconic pictures were made (until December 9).
– Let’s go back to the 60s! At the Tropenmuseum with the The Sixties expo! Fashion, design, music, architecture and photographs from the 60’s are exposed.
– Van Gogh goes hand in hand with Munch during Munch: Van Gogh at Van Gogh Museum from September 25 until January 17.
