Amsterdam Light Festival 2016: the most beautiful festival December 1 – January 22

27 November 2016

the amsterdam light festival 2016 is back this winter!

Great news for everyone who is a sucker for all the little lights during Christmas. The Amsterdam Light Festival 2016 is back in Amsterdam and that means that means that you find beautiful bright installations in the city center. I always like to walk the route with my love and go for hot coco afterwards. I think it’s such a nice festival for everyone in Amsterdam!

Amsterdam Light Festival 2015

From December 1 to January 22 the The Amsterdam Light Festival will take over the city (perfect for a date night stroll!). That means we can enjoy more over 35 beautiful art works and installations of international artists, designers and architects spread over the city. Special objects will shine along the canals and illuminate the city in a special way.

It’s already the fifth edition of the Amsterdam Light Fesitval, which was originally organized to give Amsterdam a little positivity in dark days. And how do you do that? Well, literally by creating light in the darkness! Each year, Amsterdam will be transformed into a real life light theatre, where all kinds of artists can show their light art to the rest of the world. And it is equally spectacular each year. Also this year you can experience the festival in several ways: by foot, along the illuminade route, or by boat along water colors route.

Check for more information and the complete programme amsterdamlightfestival.com. Are you going every year like too? If you have friends with a boat I can highly recommend organizing a little boat trip over the canals to see the objects from the water. It’s beautiful!
