Akasha spa at Conservatorium Hotel: beautiful city spa in Amsterdam

11 December 2013

Revitalize at the Akasha spa at Conservatorium Hotel!

Every once in a while it’s time to reload and gain new energy. One of my favourite places to do that in Amsterdam is the Akasha spa at the Conservatorium Hotel. This holistic spa is a perfect place to help you relax and will give you the dose of mindfullnes you need. The Akasha spa at the Conservatorium Hotel is decorated within the Feng-Shui principles. I assure you that you will feel relaxed immediately when you walk down the stairs to the beautiful spa. With a day pass you have full access to the gym and wellness facilities. Since our visit was all about relaxation we skipped the fully equipped gym and went straight for the spa ;-).

Book one of the holistic massages to give you the ultimate feeling of relaxation and stress relieve. After the massage it’s great to spend some time in one of the relaxation corners or to swim a bit. At the hamam you will sweat out your stress until your head is empty and the only thing you can think of is the steam. It was a great eye opener for me how relaxed it was not to have my smartphone anywhere near me and to have the piece to actually read a magazine in between the sauna sessions. I should do this more often!

The dry sauna is also very relaxed and your skin will feel super soft afterwards. At the Akasha spa at Conservatorium Hotel hot tea, herbal water and dried fruits and nuts are complimented all day. Delicious and healthy. Did I already mention that the spa requires a bathing suit? After a few hours at the Akasha spa we felt totally reborn. Enough energy to start a new week!
