Sky Dive Dubai >> things to do in dubai

I think skydiving once in your life is on almost everyone’s bucket list. Even my boyfriend who has an enormous fear of heights, jumped out the small plane. Now imagine to jump out of a small plane above the Palm Island in Dubai. This can now be a reality! At SkyDive Dubai you can book this jump the whole year, only not on Sundays and Mondays. A month in advance booking is highly recommended!

Boat trip in Oman >> things to do in dubai

When you’re in Dubai it’s fun to make a road trip! All together in a big car, lots of snacks and lots of water with you (in case you get stuck in the sand) and go! Rent a car and drive to Oman. Once arrived in Oman, it’s only an hour drive to the coast. Here you can rent a boat from a local who will take you up the water. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Oman, the beautiful sunset, and if you’re lucky you can even spot dolphins. If you take a good look at the photo you see a dolphin! Good to know: take your passport, since you crossing borders. At the border you need to buy a visa to get in Oman.

Go to the shopping malls >> things to do in Dubai

Dubai is shopping paradise. Even if you do not like shopping it’s fun to take a trip to the malls. If only it’s to escape the heat ;-). Do you want to know which mall you need to visit? Click here. We have already made a list for you with the 7 best shopping malls of Dubai.

Sheikh Zayed Mosque >> things to do in Dubai

Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi – also called The Great White Mosque is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi is one of the seven states of the UAE and is about an hour drive from Dubai. The mosque is made of the same material as the Taj Mahal in India, and it owes its bright white colour for that. The mosque can accommodate around forty thousand people and has the largest carpet in the world (5627 meters!). This Great White Mosque is breathtakingly beautiful and a must visit when you are in Dubai.

highest building in the world >> things to do in dubai

Visit the highest building in the world! The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the highest building in the world. The building is 828 meters long en has 163 floors. Visit this impressive building and head to the observation deck. The observation deck is located on the 148th floor at 555 meters! Fun fact: the Burj Khalifa would actually called the Burj Dubai. But halfway through the making of the building they ran out of money and had to look for sponsors. Sheikh Khalifa wanted to give the money to Dubai in exchange that the building would be called the Burj Khalifa.

enjoy the beaches >> things to do in dubai

Dubai is located next to the sea, so if you’re in Dubai a day at the beach is also lovely. My favourite beaches are Mamzar beach and Jumeirah beach. Mamzar beach is a beautifully landscaped beach and quiet on weekdays. Jumeirah beach is located on a beautiful boulevard the walk with shops and restaurants and has a stunning view of the Burj Al Arab. Do you not like the beach? What we can’t imagine… but just in case ;-). Visit one of the wonderful hotel swimming pools that Dubai has. For example, the stunning infinity pool at the Dubai Sofitel Hotel Downtown overlooking the Burj Khalifa.

High Tea at burj al arab  >> things to do in dubai

Because Dubai is an Islamic country and the people from Dubai are not allowed to drink alcohol, the high tea in Dubai is a big deal. Enjoy delicious Arabic tea with various sweets and savoury bites. Highly recommended is the high tea at the Burj Al Arab. A high tea at a 7 star restaurant. Wow! It’s for sure one of the most amazing high teas I did and probably will ever do in my life!  In Dubai, they don’t only love high tea, but they love to eat!  Be sure you visit one of the many restaurants in Dubai. We have already made you a list with the 7 best restaurants in Dubai.
