13 hotspots in Kaapstad and surroundings you want to know!15 February 2016
restaurants, bars and markets in Kaapstad, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg
Everytime I’m in Cape Town, I promise myself I will live there at some time. It’s so nice over there. Cities at the beach where you can perfectly combine the urban feeling and relaxing. There are lots of trendy restaurants and bars. So many, you will never have the time to check them all.
Every time I’m in a foreign country, I like to try out some local drinks. From craft beer to soft drinks. For example the cheerful and organic BOS ice tea. This ice tea is made of the South-African rooibos. Sounds good, isn’t it? I also like the many different and diverse neighborhoods in Cape Town. It takes less than an hour to get at the other side of the peninsula or the wine growing regions.
Therefor I’ll show you the 13 greatest hotspots in Cape Town and surroundings. Especially the places where they serve local products like BOS.
13 x awesome hotspots in Cape Town and surroundings
The Village Idiot
This cosy bar and restaurant is located in the middle of Cape Town in the Loop Street right behind the corner of the vibrant Kloof Street. Try to snatch a place on the balcony where you have a beautiful view over the street. This spot in Cape Town is awesome for a drink or to eat something. It looks like an old fashioned pub (with a huge stuffed ostrich on the bar), but the menu is surprisingly great. Nice detail: they serve the coleslaw in enamel mugs. And… they often have meat grilled on the barbecue!

Very cool: at the Grand Daddy hotel you can spend the night in an airstream trailer. I’ve tried it out for you and it’s so nice to sleep in the trailer after a couple of drinks at your favorite hotspots. Do you want to know the coolest thing about this trailer? It’s located on the rooftop of the Grand Daddy Hotel. The roof terrace is so much fun in the weekends because of the deejays and cocktails.
